What you will be doing

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition in the Industrial & Machine Builder segment across the Greater Toronto Area. This role is dedicated to opening new accounts and re-engaging underutilized customers, with a primary focus on "new logos."

Success in this role requires a hunter mentality—proactively identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Management, and Automation Specialists, to drive awareness, engagement, and solution adoption.

New Business Development: Identify and target high-potential Machine Builder accounts within the assigned territory, leveraging market intelligence, prospecting tools, and internal resources.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a structured business development plan, working with Branch and Automation leadership to prioritize strategic accounts and industry segments.

Customer Engagement: Build relationships with key decision-makers, conduct discovery meetings, and position our automation solutions as a competitive advantage.

Marketing & Lead Generation Alignment: Work closely with the Marketing team to leverage campaigns, events, and digital strategies that drive inbound interest and accelerate sales opportunities.

CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, track prospecting activities, and document progress in CRM to ensure visibility and alignment with company objectives.

Industry & Product Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies to effectively position our offerings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Automation Specialists, and Vendor Teams to develop compelling value propositions and close deals.

Metrics & Performance: Consistently meet or exceed new business development targets, providing regular updates on progress and market insights to leadership.
