Introducing the new 140MT Motor Protection Circuit Breaker

Did you know the existing 140M C Frame and D Frame Motor Protection Breakers will be going away? It’s true. Not to worry, Rockwell Automation has a direct replacement: the new 140MT Motor Protection Circuit Breaker.
The new 140MT Motor Protection Circuit Breaker has the same dimensions and form factor as the outgoing 140M. Like the 140M, the 140MT offers Magnetic Short Circuit protection (up to 65KA at 480V) and Thermal Overload protection (Trip class 10).
The 140MT is UL listed as a manual Type E Self-Protected combination motor controller. In Group motor applications. Same as the 140M
Other Features Include:
The 140MT has numerous accessories available that will allow you to add auxiliary contacts, connecting modules that will allow you to direct mount the 140MT to a 100-C Contactor, and many more.
Some common questions about the 140MT:
- As mentioned, the 140M C and D Frames will be obsolete, what about the F Frame?
The F Frame 140M Motor Protection Circuit Breaker will remain an active product until late summer of 2022. It will then be at an End-of-Life Status and made Obsolete in the summer of 2023.
- Is there a 140MT F Frame Breaker available yet?
Not yet. The release timeframe for the 140MT F Frame should be late summer 2022.
- When will the 140M C and D Frame breaker become obsolete?
The 140M C and D Frame will no longer be available for sale come mid to late January of 2022
